Warning: this post isn't my typical entry. No searching for deeper meaning here. Just a timeline/ interesting fact that I uncovered a couple of weeks ago and thought that I should log it in my journal! (And share it with my fellow faith enthusiasts!)
Are you ready for this?
Okay, here goes...
Genesis Chapter 5 gives a genealogy from Adam all the way through Noah. I got curious when I was reading the chapter a few weeks ago because they lived so long back then, I wondered how many generations of his grands that Adam got to live to see!
So I did the math. And I uncovered a couple of interesting things.
1st:
Did you know that Methusaleh was Noah's grandfather? Methusaleh - as in the longest-living human!
Okay - maybe a few of you already knew that...
But! Did you know...
2nd:
{drumroll to intensify the suspense}
that Methusaleh died the year of The Flood?!!!
The general consensus among the people I've already discussed this is that we're choosing to believe he died earlier in the year but before The Flood. A man of faith, we don't think he died in The Flood. But still! Pretty interesting, isn't it?
That's all, folks! No closing deep thought or moral today. Just me sharing my nerddom with you a little bit!
Happy Sonday! Let us know how we can pray for you!
